MUMBAI: Actress Rayya Labib has stirred debate among reality television viewers after alleging that Netflix’s reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is “fixed” and that the winner is “pre-decided.” Her remarks come at a time when the recently concluded season of the celebrity reality show has already been the subject of heated discussions across social media, with many viewers questioning the fairness of certain eliminations, task outcomes and the eventual winner.
According to Rayya Labib, reality shows should offer contestants an equal opportunity to compete, with the final outcome being determined solely by their performances and audience support. The recently concluded season saw social media influencer Shreya Kalra emerge as the winner, defeating actress Shivangi Joshi in the grand finale. The winner reportedly took home the coveted trophy along with a cash prize of ₹1 crore.
However, even before the finale aired, several viewers had taken to social media platforms and online discussion forums alleging that the show appeared scripted or biased in favour of certain contestants. Some fans claimed that specific task outcomes and eliminations seemed designed to benefit select participants, while others expressed disappointment over what they described as inconsistent decision-making by the makers.
