NEW DELHI: Mumbai and Chennai-based production house Vrindaavan Films has announced an opportunity for aspiring actors by opening the doors of its upcoming productions exclusively to newcomers looking to establish themselves in the entertainment industry.
In a significant initiative aimed at discovering fresh talent, the production company, promoted by filmmaker Maneesh F. Singh, revealed plans to produce four new web series. Unlike conventional casting processes, the company has decided that all principal performers or main leads for these projects will be selected from among fresh faces through a nationwide talent hunt that is already underway across several Indian cities.
Explaining the vision behind the initiative, director and producer Maneesh F. Singh said, “Every year, countless aspiring actors dream of entering the entertainment industry, but only a few receive meaningful opportunities. We want to create a platform where deserving newcomers can showcase their abilities. As a socially responsible production house, we have therefore decided to develop four mythology-based web series featuring entirely new talent. Auditions will be conducted in more than 20 cities across India, and those who successfully complete the selection process will be cast in the productions. We expect to begin shooting the first web series during the final week of January next year. In addition, we are preparing to launch our own OTT platform next month, where these series will premiere before being licensed to other OTT platforms at affordable rates so that a wider Indian audience can enjoy them.”
According to Vrindaavan Films, the initiative has been conceived with the objective of nurturing emerging artists rather than maximizing commercial returns. “Our focus is not on profits,” Singh said. “The film industry has given us our own beginnings, and this is our way of giving something back. By introducing fresh talent, we hope to provide aspiring performers with a genuine opportunity to demonstrate their skills.” He further added that the company is making a substantial investment in the AI-powered mythological web series.
