Actor Poonam Prajakta Palav signed on by Vrindaavan Films for three Bollywood projects

MUMBAI: Young actor Poonam Prajakta Palav has taken a significant step towards a career in films after signing a three-movie agreement with Chennai-based production house Vrindaavan Films.

Her selection comes after a nationwide talent search organised by filmmaker Maneesh F. Singh, who travelled across India in search of fresh acting talent. Among hundreds of aspiring artistes, Poonam emerged as one of the most promising discoveries. Singh was particularly impressed by her confidence, natural acting ability, innocent screen presence, and the determination she displayed throughout the selection process.

Speaking about the decision to cast her, Singh said Poonam has the qualities needed to build a successful acting career and will feature in his forthcoming film projects. Before beginning work on the films, however, she will undergo a structured training programme conducted by Vrindaavan Films in Mumbai. The programme will cover acting techniques, dialogue delivery, personality enhancement, camera-facing skills, and fitness training to prepare her for the demands of the industry.

According to Singh, while Poonam still needs to fine-tune certain aspects of her craft, including her acting skills and physical conditioning, she possesses remarkable potential and a strong willingness to learn. As one of the winners of the production house’s talent hunt initiative, she will receive continuous mentoring and professional grooming to help her establish herself in the world of cinema.

Who is Poonam Prajakta Palav?

Eighteen-year-old Poonam Prajakta Palav comes from interior Maharashtra and began her modelling journey at the age of 16. Over the past three years, she has participated in numerous print campaigns while also building a social media presence through reels and vlogs for the last two years.

Apart from modelling, she is passionate about music, dancing, and singing. Her Instagram profile features several dance videos, reflecting her enthusiasm for performing arts. She also enjoys cooking and is an avid movie enthusiast. Keeping herself updated with the latest music releases is one of her favourite hobbies, and she often learns the lyrics and melodies of newly released songs soon after they are launched.

Acting has been Poonam’s dream since childhood. Although personal and family responsibilities delayed her entry into the entertainment industry, she never gave up on her ambition. Now, with the opportunity to make her Bollywood debut through a three-film contract with Vrindaavan Films, she says she is thrilled to finally turn her dream into reality.
